The Lido Nursery School and Activity Club
Hartley House Montessori has two term-time only nursery schools in and around Winchester providing nursery education for children aged until they go to school.
The Lido Nursery School
Our nursery school based at The Lido, just off Worthy Lane in Hyde, operates term-time only. Our Activity Clubs provide wrap-around school care with an after school club and a holiday club. The various elements of this service provide child care for children from the age of 2 years between 8.30 am and 6 pm. Parents commit to either full-time or term-time only nursery education and can also book ad hoc Holiday Club sessions.
- Flexible drop off between 8.30 am and 9 am
- Morning Session - 9 am to 1 pm (term time only)
- Full Day Session - 9 am to 4 pm (term time and all year round)
- Full Day plus Tea Club - 9 am to 6 pm (term time and all year round)
The children attending both Montessori nursery schools work to a structured Montessori Curriculum which is linked across to the Early Years Foundation Stage. They undertake daily living activities to help them towards independence and gain an ability to care for themselves. Their senses are refined through Sensorial training and the opportunity to learn specific concepts through the use of concrete Montessori materials.
We also offer the children special extra curricular activities during the week such as French, music, dance and cookery. These activities give the children an opportunity to experience group activities and hone specific skills.

Activity Club
We understand that being a parent can be very demanding and that organising your schedule around traditional school hours and holidays is not always easy. We therefore provide a flexible package of high quality childcare that enables you to select a range of options around school and nursery school to help you meet the needs of your child and the whole family.
Tea Club
Tea Club offers peace of mind for working parents with children aged between 2 and 11 years, in the knowledge that their child is being safely looked after by qualified and experienced staff until the end of the working day.
We collect children from St. Bede Church of England Primary School, Itchen Abbas Primary School, Harestock Primary School, Weeke Primary School and Western Primary School and take them to The Lido to enjoy a home cooked tea. A range of activities and games will be provided for children to participate in until the end of the session at 6.00 pm.
Homework Club
Would your child like help with their Mathematics, English or Science homework?
Our Homework Club is based at The Lido in Worthy Lane and is run by trainee teachers between 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday during school term time, to help children with their homework. Between 5.30 pm and 6.00 pm the children can join in free play and be picked up when convenient for you. The cost is £5 per child per session.

Holiday Club
The Holiday Club provides a happy, safe and stimulating environment for children aged rising 3 to approximately 8 years. Many exciting opportunities will be offered to your child during the day giving them hours of fun and laughter whilst making lots of new friends. Most days follow a theme and activities vary accordingly including arts and crafts, cookery, sports and games, experiments, special projects and outings.
The Holiday Club provision is organised according to parental demand and may include Breakfast Club, morning and full day sessions, and Tea Club.
